JAKARTA - Google Tasks is a standalone task service from Google that is used to manage, log and edit your tasks from anywhere and anytime, with a synced to-do list across your devices.

On Google's workspace website, the tech giant announced that Google Tasks is adding the ability to mark important tasks with an asterisk on Android, iOS, as well as in web apps.

"In Google Tasks, you can now mark important tasks with a star. This is similar to the functionality already in Drive today," Google said in its announcement, quoted Thursday, June 9.

In addition, you will be able to view or sort starred items in various task lists in a new view. This may be just a small addition, but it can make it easier for you to organize your piled-up tasks.

"We hope this update makes it easier for you to prioritize tasks and quickly navigate to important tasks across your projects," hopes Google.

There's no need to rush to see this additional feature, as Google confirmed that they will roll it out gradually, starting from June 8th. And it may take up to 15 days for some people to see it.

This new feature addition will be available to all Google Workspace customers, as well as existing G Suite Basic and Business customers.
