JAKARTA - Young actress Nayla Purnama has a big challenge in her latest web series project. Playing the role of Hanin, who is described as a talented dancer, Nayla admitted that she had to work extra hard because she didn't have a background in dancing.

"Here, Hanin is a very, very dancer, which is very interesting for me, that's one of the challenges in this series," said Nayla Purnama in South Jakarta, Monday, July 20.

To delve into her energetic character on stage, Nayla apparently looked for references from the South Korean music industry. He admitted that he often watched K-Pop girl group music videos to find inspiration for the movement and aura of a dancer.

"Watch! Watch (K-Pop), it's also one of the inspirations. For example, TWICE!" said Nayla.

Even though he has visual references from well-known groups like TWICE, Nayla still finds it difficult when he has to practice it directly. For him, dancing is a discipline that cannot be mastered instantly.

"The most difficult thing is that it's hard to move the body! It's like what, according to me, dance is something that can't be learned in a short time, right?" he explained.

Nayla also had to undergo intensive training in the midst of her busy schedule. She spent weeks to ensure that her movements looked fluid as Hanin.

"I think there is a month," said Nayla.

The absence of martial arts or dancing made him hesitate, but the support from the production team and the director made him keep going. That sense of confidence came along with the great responsibility given to him.

"While I really don't have any basic dance at all. And finally, maybe because there is trust given to me, I also got more excited to learn," concluded Nayla Purnama.

In this latest series from WeTV and Unlimited Pictures, Nayla Purnama will act with Junior Robert, Sandy Pradana, Jinan Safa, and gamers, Catheez. This series will begin airing on July 24.
