JAKARTA - The Chief Executive Officer of electric car manufacturer Tesla Inc. Elon Musk said on Thursday, June 2 that Tesla AI Day (Tesla AI Day) has now been moved to September 30.

“Tesla AI Day pushed to September 30, as we may have a working Optimus prototype by then,” he wrote on Twitter, nearly two weeks after he announced the August 19 date.

Optimus is a humanoid robot that Tesla is working on. Musk has previously said that it could launch next year.

"Optimus can finally address the global labor shortage, and in the short term may be able to bring goods around factories," Musk said in January.

This is Tesla's second AI (artificial intelligence) Day, the first taking place on August 19, 2021.

Musk, in one of his tweets in May, also said that the goal of AI day is to convince great AI/software/chip talent to join Tesla.
