YouTube Update For Television Lets You Watch Videos On A Bigger Screen While Commenting

JAKARTA - In early 2022, Google shared highlights of this year's YouTube product roadmap, including improving the YouTube experience on your TV. 12 years ago the YouTube app for TV screens was launched, this launch is a great way for YouTube viewers to be able to watch their favorite videos on a screen bigger than a computer or phone.

"Since then, we've continued to improve this experience as the popularity of streaming services and watching YouTube on TV continues to grow," Brynn Evans, Head of Design for YouTube on TV, wrote on his blog.

Due to the large number of people watching YouTube on TV, the tech company has finally shared a new set of features for its viewers.

Google is rolling out a new feature that lets you easily connect your TV to your iOS or Android phone, so you can dive deeper into your favorite content on YouTube while watching it on the big screen.

To get started, note that your phone and TV must be signed in to the same YouTube account. Open the YouTube app on your TV, then open the YouTube app on your phone, then click "Connect" on the prompt that appears automatically.

Your phone will now sync to your TV, so you can interact directly with the video you're watching from the comfort of your phone. Where previously you could only watch videos of your favorite creators, now you can do more.

This means that you can read video descriptions, leave comments, share videos with friends, or subscribe to your favorite creators, or even subscribe more easily while you watch on the big screen.

In closing, Google said there are many more new innovations that will be present on YouTube in the future.
