JAKARTA - Square Enix is making a continuation of the Front Mission franchise on the mobile platform. Developed by Black Jack Studio, Front Mission 2089: Borderscape is coming to iOS and Android.

Interestingly, there is Front Mission 2089 which was released in 2005 for mobile devices. An enhanced remake, Front Mission 2089: Border of Madness, launched in 2008 for the Nintendo DS.
On the other hand, Square Enix also has plans to resurrect Front Mission 1 & 2 and will release it on Switch in the summer of 2022.
