Spotify is the world's largest music streaming platform with a comprehensive catalog of music and podcasts. If you stream so much every day, you might be wondering if there's a way to see what you've been listening to on Spotify.

Thankfully, Spotify provides a way to check what you're listening to on the platform. The Spotify Recently Played feature lists everything you've heard, including podcasts, and in the same order you did them.

How to View Your Listening History on Spotify

The Recently Played feature catalogs everything you've listened to before. The good thing is, Spotify keeps a catalog of your listening history whether you stream or download music and podcasts for offline listening.

How to View Your Spotify Listening History on Android and iOS

On mobile devices, it's easy to access your Spotify listening history, thanks to the app's user interface. Follow these steps to access your listening history (Steps are the same for iOS and Android apps):

Go to the Home tab within the Spotify mobile app.

Tap the clock icon at the top right. This will take you to the Recently played page, where Spotify displays what you've been listening to, from the newest songs and podcast episodes to the oldest.

Spotify makes it easy to see what you've been listening to and on what day by organizing the Recently played page by date. For playlists and albums, you'll see the name of the particular playlist or album and song you're playing.

How to View Your Spotify Listening History on the Web

On the web, you can access your Spotify listening history using the following steps:

1. Select Home from the left sidebar.2. Scroll down the page until you find the Recently played section. 3. Click See All to the right of the section title to view more of your listening history.

You will see that your listening history is not as complete as when using the feature on your phone. Unlike the mobile app, the Spotify web player doesn't organize your listening history by date. It also gives you album, playlist, and podcast names without searching for the song or episode you're listening to.

How to View Your Listening History on the Spotify Desktop App

The Spotify desktop app has a similar interface to its web client, and as such, your listening history is also just a few clicks away. Here's how to view your listening history in the desktop app:

1. Click the Queue icon at the bottom right. This will show you what will happen next after your current song or podcast episode.2. Adjacent to the Queue tab, select the Recently played or Recently Played tab to view your recent listening history. Under Recently played, you'll see some of the songs you've recently listened to. However, like the web player, you don't get an in-depth listening history.
