JAKARTA - Dune: Spice Wars, a new strategy game based on the science fiction world of Frank Herbert and its latest film adaptation, will launch on Steam Early Access for PC on April 26.

Publisher Funcom and developer Shiro Games who made Northgard famous also confirmed that the Fremen will be one of the four playable factions in the game at launch, namely House Harkonnens, House Atreides, and Smugglers.

The game pits four factions against each other on the desert planet Arrakis, competing for control of its most valuable resource, spices.

Fremen is secretly led by Liet Kynes, a leading planetary expert, with a faction highly proficient in guerrilla warfare tactics, less affected by Arrakis' harsh environment, and has units that move faster and are more stealthy.

You can create your own story and play as one of several factions, including House Atreides and House Harkonnen, and compete for power over the Dune and Spice.

Dune: Spice Wars will continue to expand during the early access period with a multiplayer component, other playable factions, a full campaign, balance updates, and more. Stay tuned in the coming weeks and months for further updates.
