JAKARTA – The world's largest Non-fungible Token (NFT) exchange, OpenSea, has confirmed adding the Solana network next month. This news follows many rumors and speculation that the company will add the Solana network in the near future.

According to a teaser video posted on social media Twitter on March 30, OpenSea confirmed adding Solana support (SOL) in April. The NFT exchange is the largest in the world with all-time sales of US$23.5 million or Rp. 337.3 billion. This figure is from more than 1.4 million sellers and the average sale on OpenSea this week is approximately 930.59 US dollars or Rp. 13.5 million per NFT.

Currently, OpenSea supports three blockchain networks, namely Ethereum, Klaytn, and Polygon. Solana (SOL) itself is the fourth network to join the platform's protocol suite.

As of writing, Solana is the 7th largest cryptocurrency according to data from CoinGecko. The SOL value has increased by 29.3 percent in the last seven days. Meanwhile, against the US dollar this year its value rose 537 percent. Currently, Solana (SOL) is selling for around Rp. 1.7 million.

Quoted from News Bitcoin.com, Solana's support for OpenSea was expected by some and rumors started circulating about the Phantom digital wallet (Solana based wallet) when Solana supporter @bhaleyart tweeted about it in mid-November 2021.

In addition, through a Twitter post, one of the OpenSea users was asked to use the Panthom digital wallet on the platform. The user recorded a video of OpenSea asking his Phantom wallet for permission to access his Solana account.
