JAKARTA - Instagram has finally allowed live content creators to appoint moderators during their streams, allowing creators to focus on their content.

In this new capability, moderators will have the ability to report comments, remove annoying viewers during Live, and disable comments for specific viewers.

Content creators can assign a moderator by tapping the three dots in the comment bar during Live. From there, content creators can select a moderator from a list of suggested accounts, or use the search bar to search for a specific account.

Launching The Verge, Monday, March 14, the Live feature has been around since 2016, and with such a long time, it's surprising that Instagram has only just started supporting moderators for its streams.

Having a moderator in the Live feature is quite necessary, including on other live streaming platforms, such as Twitch and YouTube, where sometimes many viewers make bad comments when creator content streams.

Even Instagram's sister company, Facebook, gives users the ability to add moderators to their streams as well as add tools to remove trolls, like the moderation feature Instagram just rolled out.

For information, Instagram is attracting more content creators to Live with the ability to monetize streaming, with the availability of moderators expected to make the streaming experience much more enjoyable for content creators.

Recently, Instagram has also announced a new feature called Enhanced tags which allows users to tag all contributors and collaborators in a post.

That means, now users can give credit to everyone behind the scenes. Users can tag makeup artists, photographers, designers in their posts which will make it easier for them to be recognized as creators and find new opportunities.
