JAKARTA – The Robinhood crypto exchange is rumored to be launching a beta crypto wallet in January 2022. The crypto community has been looking forward to the launch of the Robinhood digital wallet in recent months. Later this beta version of the Robinhood crypto wallet will be able to be used for trading, sending, and receiving cryptocurrencies.

So far, 1.6 million people have signed up for the crypto wallet that will be released by Robinood. The following is an announcement from Robinhood regarding the launch of a crypto wallet.

“In mid-January, we will launch the beta phase of the wallet, which will roll out to thousands of customers from the waiting list.”

Additionally, Robinhood also stated that during the recently completed alpha phase of the crypto wallet launch, “a number of closely knit customers” on the waiting list were testing the company’s first crypto wallet iteration and “various detailed design and functionality feedback.”

In addition, Robinhood will also provide more crypto articles and add 24-hour phone support for alpha version crypto wallet users who ask for clarification on terms such as “gas fee” and “transaction ID.”

“We will be rolling out some additional security features for crypto transactions. This includes in-app multi-factor authentication, so we know it's you when you make a transfer, and transaction checks to better understand the risks when coins are sent."

“While some say 2021 is the year crypto will become mainstream, the truth is most people are still getting used to asset classes and how to navigate blockchain,” added Robinhood.

In late 2021, Robinhood entered into a partnership with Chainalysis to leverage “data and data analytics firm blockchain data analytics to meet compliance requirements and give Robinhood customers the confidence they need to trade cryptocurrencies securely,” Chainalysis said.
