Apple Stops Sales Of IPhone XR And 11 Pro After The Launch Of IPhone 12

JAKARTA - Apple will soon release the iPhone 12, in about two months. After that, Apple will reportedly stop production and sales for the iPhone XR and iPhone 11 Pro.

This news comes from a Twitter user @iAppleTimes who tweeted that the two phones will be discontinued after the launch of the iPhone 12, and also that Apple will reduce the price of the iPhone 11 by as much as 150 United States (US) dollars or equivalent to Rp2.1 million.

The shutdown of iPhone production isn't really surprising according to Tech Radar, Tuesday, August 25, considering that Apple once had a track record of secretly killing old iPhones at the launch of its newest iPhone.

During the release of the iPhone 11 at that time, the iPhone XS and XS Max were both discontinued. Typically, Apple only keeps a few types of iPhones, although third-party retailers still have a lot of stock.

However, based on credible reports, Apple's iPhone 12 lineup will include 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch Pro models and standard-class devices with 6.1-inch and 5.4-inch screens. All of them will adopt OLED-based screens.
