Kominfo's Strong Denial Of Accounts On Porn Sites

JAKARTA - An account with the name Kemkominfo appears on a pornographic site, namely Pornhub. The account even has a blue check mark, which means that it has been verified to view or upload pornographic content to the site.

The Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kemenkominfo) has denied the existence of this account which has caused a scene in the social media universe. Kominfo Memastika has never created an account or content on one of the pornographic sites, namely Pornhub.

"The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia has never created any accounts or content on the Pornhub.com site. We have sent an electronic letter to the site manager to object to the use of the ministry's name and the Ministry of Communication and Information's logo on the site," wrote Acting Head of the Ministry of Communication and Information's Public Relations Bureau Ferdinandus Setu the explanation.

The man who is familiarly called Nando also reminded a number of parties proven to have violated the Electronic Transaction Information Law (UU ITE), who would be charged with a six-year prison sentence and a fine of Rp1 billion.

Not only reminding, Kominfo is also fairly diligent in blocking sites and accounts on social media that are proven to contain negative content. As of November 2019, Kominfo has blocked more than 1,500,000 social media sites and accounts that contain pornographic content.

In addition to acting on behalf of Kominfo, the account also uses the ministry's logo from the Ministry of Communication and Information. Not to mention that the account has been verified with a blue tick.

On Twitter social media, the account findings were uploaded via Twitter @sleepyheadbonzo with the caption "Man is this ur biggest flex in 2019? Verified pornhub account?". The upload was then boisterous and had perched on Twitter Indonesia's most popular topic.
