JAKARTA - WhatsApp Business on Android and iOS will get a new shortcut upgrade for the Quick Replies feature, which makes it easier for business owners to manage their chats with customers.

The Quick Replies feature is a feature that has long been introduced to the WhatsApp Business platform. This feature allows users to send messages via keyboard shortcuts, which is a bit like how the G-board memory works when typing messages or similar emails.

Back in 2019, the Quick Replies feature was extended to the web and desktop versions of WhatsApp. It basically helps businesses to respond to frequently asked questions by sending predefined messages.

According to a WABetaInfo report, this new shortcut is still in the testing phase and is only rolling out to limited beta testers. To use the Quick Replies feature, users need to type "/" then select a message to send from the list.

Even so, it is not known for sure why Meta as WhatsApp's parent company launched this new shortcut, but this improvement is quite useful once the update is made available to a wider audience.

Currently a new shortcut option has been added to the chat sharing menu, which is viewable by users on Android and iOS devices.

Previously reported, WhatsApp also plans to roll out a new capability where the app can hide the "Last Seen" view for certain contacts.

Additionally, the instant messaging app is also testing a feature that allows group admins to delete certain messages for everyone in the group. Most likely this feature will appear in 2022.
