YOGYAKARTA - Zoom Meeting launched a feature that allows hosts in the meeting room to see participants who were late or joined.

As is known, the video conferencing application has become one of the most widely used applications in recent years for meetings and teaching and learning activities.

Not wanting to lose loyal users, Zoom Meeting has made many innovations, one of which is making the Attendance Status feature, which can find out how long certain participants have been present in the meeting.

This feature can be used by meeting hosts, and is useful for teaching and learning activities or schools. The reason is, the teacher who is the host can find out which students are late to attend and do not attend class from the start.

Attendance status of participants is divided into two categories, consisting of participants who are already present marked with "Joined" and participants who have not joined within the specified time are included in the "Not Joined" category.

In addition, the Attendance Status feature is integrated with Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar, so hosts can send invitations through these two services and know the attendance status of participants.

Later, participants who receive online meeting invitations via Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar, can confirm their presence status into meetings that have been created by the host.

The participant's status will also appear under their account name on Zoom, including Accepted, which means accepting the invitation, Declined which means unable to attend, Maybe and No Response.

For participants who are willing to join a meeting that has been created using Zoom will enter the Waiting Room category. They can join if the host has accepted their presence by pressing the "Admit" menu.

However, the host can also refuse the presence of participants who have been invited if within the specified time they have not received or press the Accepted icon on the invitation given. To do this, the host can press the Remove menu at the bottom of the participant's account in the Waiting Room.

Thus, the host can find out who the participants are in the Zoom Meeting that has been made and who are not present, and are late.

This feature is also very useful for many people, especially for teachers in an effort to carry out teaching and learning activities smoothly. The reason is that the presence of participants is quite important in school activities, especially to know the material presented.

Unfortunately, this feature is only available in the Beta version of the Zoom application, and is still in limited use. However, Zoom promises to soon release the Attendence Status feature for all users for free
