Meta Introduces New Professional Mode That Makes Creators Harvest More Content Than TikTok

JAKARTA - Lately, social media often makes their networks a source of money for their users, the latest one is Meta with its entire range of social media.

Meta has just introduced Professional mode, it is designed to be used by content creators who want to monetize their followers on social networks. This mode will give content creators additional money-making opportunities and expand reach that was previously only available to Facebook Pages.

This Professional Mode will later give content creators the ability to participate in the new Reels Play bonus program, where some of them will be able to earn up to $35,000 per month based on views for their short video content.

But currently, access to the program is only for invited users in the US, meaning Meta will determine which content creators are eligible for the bonus.

Furthermore, a professional mode will also be available for content creators who own Facebook Pages. This includes access to uploads, audiences, and profile insights. For example, content creators can now see the total number of shares, reactions, and comments of their posts and can see the growth of their followers over time.

This allows content creators to create content that is diverse and how it resonates with their audience. Meanwhile, many content creators are already using Facebook profiles instead of Pages to attract fans and followers.

However, Meta warns that anyone who decides to take part in this new experience will open themselves up to becoming more than a public figure on the social network. This means that anyone can follow them and see public content uploaded to their feed, but they can mark the post as public or just friends.

Some of these changes occurred at a time when Meta invested heavily in its users, as it saw potential in new sources of income. The company previously planned to lure content creators with $1 billion in payouts, and bonus Reels, as competition for creator talent heats up with TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, Snapchat and others.
