JAKARTA – Shiba Inu (SHIB) crypto owners can use the SHIB token as a payment option for a Canadian health service consultation, Ask The Doctor. Last week Ask The Doctor announced the addition of a $1.5 million Shiba Inu (equivalent to IDR 21.6 billion) to its balance sheet.

The health startup received proposals from crypto users especially from the SHIBAMY community to accept token payments. The company opens voting via its official Twitter account to choose which coin to add as a payment option between DOGE and SHIB.

From the voting results, almost 90 percent of the 10,156 respondents chose SHIB over DOGE. However, the company explained that the proceeds did not cover payments with Dogecoin. Ask The Doctor, which is a health startup that often supports cryptocurrencies.

Launching NDTV, last month Ask The Doctor reportedly accepted Dogecoin for healthcare with its partners. Founder Prakash Chand expressed his belief in DOGE's utility and scalability.

“I believe Doge will have the highest utility as a global currency due to its speed to complete transactions and low fees per transaction,” said Chand.

“The possibility of a larger market cap than Bitcoin as the community grows,” he added.
