JAKARTA – Tesla Inc CEO Elon Musk said on Friday, November 19 that his company's mobile application was back online after previously experiencing an application server outage. This blackout has prevented many Tesla d owners in the world from being able to connect to their cars.

Musk was responding to a Tesla owner's tweet, which said he encountered a "500 server error" connecting his Model 3 via the iOS app in Seoul, South Korea.

"Should be back online by now. Looks like we might inadvertently increase rambling network traffic," Musk said. This Tesla server outage was first reported by Electrek.

Around 500 users reported that they were facing the error around 4:40pm. ET (6:40 GMT), according to outage monitoring website Downdetector, which tracks outages by compiling status reports from a range of sources. This includes user-submitted errors on its platform. There were over 60 reports around 9:20 p.m. ET (9.20), related to it.

"Apologies, we will take action to make sure this doesn't happen again," Musk said.

But until now, Tesla itself has not revealed what caused the server blackout. They also don't explain a back-up plan in case that continues which keeps many owners from being able to connect to their cars.
