Get Ready Disney + Services Will Be Available In Indonesia On September 5

JAKARTA - After Netflix, Indonesia will see a new video streaming service, namely Disney +. The plan for Disney + shows will operate on 5 September.

This was known from the official Disney + Hostar Twitter account recently. "Are you ready, Indonesia? Starting September 5 streaming," wrote an account @DisneyPlusHSID.

The use of the name Disney + Hotstar itself refers to the Disney Star India subsidiary. Unfortunately there is no other information regarding the planned operation of the Disney + streaming service, the official website page only displays the logo and the 'Keep Me Update' button.

For your information, this streaming platform offers a fairly interesting catalog of content under Disney's auspices. Starting from original Disney, Marvel, LucasFilm, Pixar, National Geographic content, including some content produced by Fox.

Citing the Tech Crunch page, this official service from Disney has been operating in India since the end of March. Since then, Disney + is known to have started to hit the Southeast Asian market.

In India, Disney sets a subscription fee of 1,499 Rupe or around Rp. 290 thousand. This price is slightly cheaper than the Disney + subscription fee for the European region, which ranges from 5.99 euros (Rp.104 thousand per month) to 59.99 euros (Rp1 million) for a year of subscription.

Along with this announcement, Disney has also confirmed that the live-action film adaptation of Mulan will launch on this platform on September 4, 2020. However, for regions that do not yet have Disney + access, the film will open in theaters on the same day.
