Not Wanting To Be Underestimated, Klopp Says Facing Brighton Will Be A Complicated Match For Liverpool

JAKARTA - Jurgen Klopp said facing Brighton & Hove Albion would be one of the most complicated matches for Liverpool to maintain a position in the competition at the top of the Premier League.

Liverpool will host Brighton at Anfield in a series of Premier League week ten matches on Saturday night, with identical 5-0 wins against Manchester United and Watford in their last two matches.

"We've had a good start to the season so far, but obviously other teams are going through the same thing," Klopp said.

"We know things can change quickly and we try to be as consistent as possible.

"For that, we must always be ready, including tomorrow, one of the most complicated games in the Premier League because of what Graham Potter did at Brighton and the way they played."

Last week, Brighton lost 4-1 against Manchester City, but according to Klopp the Seagulls were outstanding in controlling the ball and creating dangerous situations for their opponents.

"To have the ball and pass that smooth pass against City is difficult and they can do it," he said.

On the other hand, Klopp also reminded that the last time Liverpool hosted Brighton at Anfield, they lost to their visitors.

However, Klopp hopes that the Anfield stands filled with supporters will also give Mohamed Salah et al a separate injection to pick the full three points.

"They will certainly have threatening moments, we have to be ready to run tirelessly, close the gaps and be careful in defense and attack," he said.

"So obviously it's going to be a tough game but I'm looking forward to it and I have a lot of respect for what Graham did there, they've always been difficult since he's coached, I have to say he's a top manager."

Liverpool are the only team who still haven't tasted defeat in the Premier League this season, which is getting worse and becomes 19 games in a row when counting the previous season.

Klopp's men currently sit in second place in the standings with a collection of 21 points, only one point adrift of Chelsea who are at the top.
