Asks Manchester United Players To Introspect, Rooney: Many Don't Want To Risk Everything For The Club, That's Unacceptable

JAKARTA - Wayne Rooney thinks Manchester United's players should question themselves after the Red Devils lost 5-0 to Liverpool last weekend.

"Players have to question themselves. It's not easy for a manager with well-paid players to do a job and I don't think they're doing it well enough," Rooney said.

According to the Derby County coach, the players have a big responsibility when playing together with a team like Manchester United.

Rooney added that these players need to feel the pain when they have to accept defeat in a game like the fans feel.

"There is a big responsibility on these players. They are world class players, international players and a club like United need more. These players need to be hurt, they need to feel when you lose a game you have to feel how much it hurts," Rooney said.

Rooney sees many players who are reluctant to step down and stay and are reluctant to risk everything for the club. Rooney assess it is unacceptable.

"I see too many players who don't want to come back, don't want to stay and don't want to risk everything for the club and that's unacceptable," Rooney said.

Manchester United are currently in the spotlight after losing 5-0 to one of their rivals in the Premier League last weekend.
