Never Promises Playtime To Every Player, Simeone: They Know It And I'm Looking For The Best For The Team

JAKARTA - Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone admits that he has never promised playing time for all the players in the Los Rojiblancos squad even though there are many star players in it.

"We must have a good eye to help the team. I do not promise (guarantee to play) to anyone. They know that and I am looking for what is best for the team," said Simeone as quoted by Antara from football-espana, Thursday.

It is known, currently the Atletico Madrid squad is inhabited by players with promising talents, such as Joao Felix, Antoine Griezmann, Luis Suarez and several other names.

Despite having a promising squad, in recent times, Atletico Madrid have not been able to get maximum results in the last two matches after losing to Liverpool and drawing against Real Sociedad.

Ahead of Atletico Madrid's match against Levante in the Spanish League, Thursday night local time, Simeone also explained the news from several of his players.

The Argentine said at the moment there are at least three players who will miss against Levante, namely Marcos Llorente, Thomas Lemar and Geoffrey Kondogbia.

"Marcos have had a lot of games, goals. Lemar played between the lines and they combined well between defense and attack. Kondogbia defended more. Herrera, De Paul and Koke can play together and we will see what we can do," explained Simeone. .

Atletico Madrid will face Levante in Week 11 of the Spanish League at the Ciudad de Valencia Stadium, Valencia, Thursday night local time.

Atletico Madrid is currently in seventh place in the Spanish League standings with 18 points from 9 matches. Victory in the match against Levante could make Los Rojiblancos move up to position 5.
