Sergio Ramos holds the personal record in El Clasico matches. The captain became the player with the most appearances in the history of Barcelona's meeting against Real Madrid with a notch 43 times. He surpassed Manolo Sanchis, Francisco Gento, and Xavi (42).

The Spain international also played well in the match despite receiving a yellow card. He thwarted Lionel Messi's efforts in the first half when both clubs created a number of goalscoring opportunities.

Ramos continued, coach Zinedine Zidane applied tactics to put pressure on Los Blaugrana from the start. Los Blancos are doing well.
