JAKARTA - Athletes and officials from each contingent rejoiced in the closing defile of the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON) which was held at the Lukas Enembe Stadium, Jayapura Regency, Friday, and was accompanied by the song Torang Bisa.

They walked with enthusiasm some of which captured the moment with their cell phone cameras.

Full of happiness, they walked into the middle of the Lukas Enembe Stadium complete with attributes that showed their regional identity.

At the end of the defile each contingent's flag flew in the middle of the stadium.

Launching Antara, those who took part in the defile were representatives of athletes and officials who were still competing in the three days before the closing.

The majority of athletes competing in this PON have returned to their respective regions because they have completed the competition first and to comply with the rules for the spread of COVID-19 during the pandemic.

The closing ceremony of PON Papua was enlivened by national artists including NOAH, Saykoji, Iwa K, Yura Yunita, Andi Rianto, as well as local celebrities from Papua such as Nogei, Blasta Rap Merauke, Kork Papua, MAC, and Manggo Rap.

The audience for the closing ceremony of the PON, as at the opening, is also limited to a maximum of 25 percent of the total normal capacity of the stadium of 40 thousand people.

Spectators and VIP guests who will attend the closing ceremony will use an invitation as a condition of entry and no longer use a PON ID card or bracelet.

VIP guests will have a special hologram verified by the presidential security forces.
