Awaiting Certainty Mattia Perin's Return To Genoa

JAKARTA - Genoa reportedly opened talks to bring home goalkeeper Mattia Perin next month. According to senior Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, negotiations for Perin's move are ongoing because Genoa have lost faith in Ionut Radu.

The 27-year-old joined Juventus in the summer of 2018 as a future replacement for Gianluigi Buffon. However, he only played nine games last season.

His planned move to Benfica for a fee of 15 million euros in August was also canceled. The process of recovering from shoulder surgery which took four months made the Portuguese club management rethink.
