Donnarumma: No Problem Between Me And Navas, I'm In Paris To Play

JAKARTA - Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has dismissed rumors that his relationship with fellow Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Keylor Navas is fractured. Donnarumma joined PSG for free from AC Milan in the summer.

So far this season, PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino has rotated between Navas and Donnarumma, something he said is less than happy, but he denies there is a problem with the Costa Rican.

"There are no problems (with Keylor Navas)," Donnarumma told the press while on international duty with the Italian national team.

"I'm in Paris to play, it's normal to have some difficulties at the start. I'm there to play and I'm sure everything will go well."

The 22-year-old also compared the style of Italy coach Roberto Mancini to his club boss Pochettino. And apparently, he praised the former much more.

"(Italy and PSG) are two very different teams. With Italy, we have a clear identity and we are happy with what happened," said Donnarumma.

"We are ready to play for the coach, we are getting along well and we are excited to come to the national team camp. They are very different situations, I don't think you can compare them."

Next Wednesday, Italy will face Spain, who are the Gli Azzurri's opponents in the Euro 2020 semifinals and in the Nations League semifinals. For that, Donnarumma expects a meeting that is as difficult as the previous two.

"I expect the same Spain we played at the Euros and we have to work on situations where we can do better," said Donnarumma.

"It will not be an easy game, at the Euros it was difficult and we had to give a lot to win. Now need to give another 110 percent to win."
