Tottenham Vs Mura: Coming Off The Bench, Harry Kane Scores His 13th Hat-trick For Spurs

JAKARTA - After losing the north London derby to Arsenal last Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur boss Nuno Espirito Santo needed a big win to boost his team's confidence. As a result, Harry Kane made a hat-trick to bring Spurs to a 5-1 win over Mura in the Conference League on Friday morning.

Goals from Dele Alli and Giovani Lo Celso in the first eight minutes gave Spurs the lead, and after Ziga Kous scored after the break Kane came on to finish the job in the final 30 minutes.

It was the England captain's 13th hat-trick for Spurs, as he moved closer to the late Jimmy Greaves' record of 266 goals where Kane now has 227 goals for his club.

"We started the game really well, two goals ahead, but we slipped a little bit. They scored a good goal," Kane said after the game reported by the Independent.

"We made it more difficult than we needed to. It was nice to come off the bench and score some goals."

Kane then discussed Spurs' poor performance recently.

“We as players and staff have to come together and work hard. Our recent performance has not been good, but we have to try to turn it around in the next game."

"Every striker wants to score. I probably didn't expect to play today, but it's nice to get minutes. Every time you see the ball hit the goal it's a good feeling. Hopefully we can take it to the weekend."

Tottenham made nine substitutions from the side that lost to the humiliating north London derby. However, they are still too strong for the small team formed 12 years ago.

On Sunday, Spurs travel to Aston Villa where they desperately need a win ahead of the international break.
