Kemenpora Embraces Sport Science Through The 2020 Haornas

JAKARTA - The 37th National Sports Day (Haornas) will be celebrated on September 9 at the Jakarta State University. The Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) carries the theme of sport science in its celebration.

Kemenpora carries the theme so that all sports stakeholders and the general public understand very well what sports science is. Both the uses and benefits. The hope is that the grand design of national sports will use sport science.

Menpora Zainudin Amali hopes that this theme will be right on target and conveyed well to sports stakeholders and the wider community. For this reason, this Golkar Party politician wants sports activities with the same theme.

Menpora also revealed how important the Road to Haornas event is. According to him, this activity is very important to inform and echo the implementation of Haornas. Especially when it is still in a COVID-19 pandemic situation.

"The big theme must be described from now to the next peak of Haornas," said the Menpora.

"In the end, all sports stakeholders and the general public will be implanted in their minds to use sport science by itself as an important part of sports coaching," he added.

Given the conditions that are still shrouded in the COVID-19 pandemic, event events will be carried out with a virtual concept or broadcast live. The activity will not involve more than 100 people. The Ministry of Youth and Sports prioritizes the promotion of sports science publications to the wider community.

Deputy for Sports Culture of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Raden Isnanta said, the core of the activity later was to increase public awareness of the use of sports science. Especially in national sports coaching.

"Hopefully post-Haornas sport science can be applied in sports training and coaching," he said.
