Despite Winning 5-1 From Sofia, Mourinho Calls AS Roma Not Playing Well

JAKARTA - Jose Mourinho stressed that AS Roma did not play well despite their 5-1 win over CSKA Sofia in the Conference League on Friday.

The Giallorossi started badly, trailing by a goal after 10 minutes due to defensive errors. However, they were able to bounce back to claim their sixth straight win in all competitions this season.

In this match, Lorenzo Pellegrini bagged two goals, while Stephan El Shaarawy, Gianluca Mancini, and Tammy Abraham each scored one ball.

"We didn't play well. Sometimes we play well, strong teams come together, we have talked about it and have to be more than one team when we enter difficult moments", Mourinho told Sky Sport Italia.

“However, I am not at all satisfied with the performance of this team. We didn't play with quality, just two days ago we trained on this, but the full-backs didn't move much, there wasn't enough intensity, we lost so many defensive duels.

"I can't say we played badly, but we also didn't play well and certainly not enough to guarantee a 5-1 result. Yes, we have more quality than CSKA Sofia, but we didn't play well".
