Griezmann's Surprise Return To Atletico On The Last Day Of The Transfer Window, Fabrizio Romano: Here We Go!

JAKARTA - Antoine Griezmann returned to Atletico Madrid on the last day of the transfer market.

The Frenchman was on Barcelona's list of sales earlier this summer. However, his salary and large transfer fees make his fans very few.

With these conditions, the whole world seems to think Griezmann will stay at Barcelona.

But on the day of the deadline, Atletico Madrid moved to bring the forward back to the Wanda Metropolitano.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the agreement between the two clubs is complete.

It is claimed Griezmann rejoined Atleti two years after leaving the club on loan.

Romano says Atletico Madrid have an option to make Griezmann permanent at the end of a €40 million loan deal.

Griezmann's salary would see Atleti close to their La Liga salary cap. On the other hand, for Barcelona, this move is a big boost for the finances of those trying to get out of the crisis.
