Secretary Of Persipura Bluntly Called Indra Sjafri Triggering The Confusion Between PSSI And Shin Tae-yong

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Football Association was involved in a polemic with the Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong. This chaos also involved PSSI's Technical Director, Indra Sjafri, who incidentally is Shin Tae-yong's former assistant.

The General Secretary of Persipura Jayapura, Rocky Babena, assessed that Indra Sjafri's figure was the trigger for this chaos. He also stated, Indra Sjafri, who is actually not sure about local players to take part in the U-20 World Cup later.

"In my opinion, the trigger for the chaos (PSSI) with Shin Tae-yong is Indra Sjafri," said Rocky in a chat on the YouTube account I'm GenZ Official.

Rocky then suggested that the Chairman of PSSI, Mochamad Iriawan, to seek more suggestions and input from the people around him. Rocky is worried that there are personal interests that make the federation work not in principle.

One of the highlights is the formation of the Indonesian National Team Task Force. According to him, the formation of this Task Force is not very important. In fact, the team led by Syarif Bastaman could make Shin Tae-yong's task even more complicated.

Rocky also commented on PSSI's rejection of Shin Tae-yong's plans to hold a training camp (TC) in Korea or other countries. According to him, TC abroad is useful for testing the ability level of national team players.

"Later that will be the evaluation material for us to go to the World Cup. What will we look like there. That (overseas TC) will be the measure," he said.

He then showed his support for Shin Tae-yong. In Rocky's eyes, the South Korean coach already has qualified experience and abilities. One of the clear evidence is to bring South Korea to take part in the World Cup.
