JAKARTA - Cristiano Ronaldo intervened to silence all rumors of his planned departure from Juventus which blew so hard in the European media this summer.

On Wednesday, August 18, through his personal Instagram account, @cristiano, Ronaldo uploaded a black and white photo in which he posed with his index finger in front of his lips.

The upload was accompanied by a caption of at least five paragraphs which broadly denied the rumors that he would return to Real Madrid while mentioning that his name had been smeared by various media reports in recent weeks.

"Anyone who knows me will understand how focused I am in my work. Talk less, work more, has been my motto since the beginning of my career. Even so, seeing the things that have been said and written lately, it seems necessary to clarify my position," wrote Ronaldo.

"Not only is it disrespectful to me as a person and a footballer, the impudent ways of how my future is written in the media are disrespectful to all the clubs linked in this rumour, as well as the players and staff within them.

"My story at Real Madrid is written. Everything is recorded. In words and numbers, trophies and titles, records and headlines. Everything is in the Bernabeu Stadium Museum and in the minds of all the club's supporters. And more than what I have achieved, I remember those nine years filled with deep and respectful relationships with the 'merengue aficions', the care and respect I still cherish and have to this day. I know true Real Madrid fans will always remember me in their hearts, as I do them.

"Along with the snippets of the story in Spain, there was a lot of news and news linking me to different clubs in many leagues, without anyone ever caring enough to find out the real story.

"I speak up now to say I can no longer let people play with my name. I will stay focused on my career and work, commit and prepare for all the challenges that lie ahead. The rest? It's all bullshit," Ronaldo wrote. with a wink emoji.

Previously, rumors of Real Madrid's interest in sending Ronaldo back had also been denied by their manager, Carlo Ancelotti, who took the time to tweet via his personal Twitter account.

After Juventus failed to defend the Italian Serie A scudetto title last season, rumors of Ronaldo's departure immediately mushroomed.

Apart from Real Madrid, a number of other clubs have also been linked, such as Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain, which have recently harvested star free players, including Ronaldo's eternal rival, Lionel Messi.
