Introducing La Masia Ansu Fati's New Talent

JAKARTA - Ansu Fati became the youngest player to score in the Champions League. The Barcelona attacker scored his team's winning goal against Inter Milan in the last Group F matchday which was held at the Giuseppe Meazza, Wednesday, December 11 in the morning.

Aged 17 years and 40 days, Fati beat Samir Handanovic in the 86th minute with an incredibly precise drive to set a new record. Previously, he was named the youngest La Liga goalscorer for Barca and the young Catalan club to appear in the Champions League.

Earlier this month, Barca awarded Fati with a new contract until 2022 and added a callusul for his release from € 100 million to € 170 million.

When Fati signs a full professional contract, the release clause will go up again, around 400 million euros.

Fati's teammate - who also graduated from the Barcelona La Masia football academy - Carles Perez revealed that the actions of him and Fati in the match proved La Masia was not dead.

"It's incredible that we both exist," said Perez, who scored the first goal of Los Blaugrana's 2-1 win over the Nerazzurri to Movistar.

"Both Ansu and I are examples for La Masia that you can get there (to the first team)," continued Perez.

Meanwhile, Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde described Fati as a player who had the talent to score goals from birth. The Spanish youth national team striker has scored three goals in all competitions this season.

"They (Fati and Perez) are two players who have reached the first team this year. Young players, very young in Ansu's case," Valverde said at a press conference, via AS.

Valverde admitted, the match against Inter was very difficult, especially for Carles Perez. As well as Antonio Conte's men having experienced defenses, Perez is also playing for the first time.

"But he (Perez) can score a goal because he kicks the ball well. While Ansu has gone through some physical difficulties, with a little discomfort, but his ability to score goals is a born talent," concluded the racist.
