PSG Vs Sevilla 2-2: Le Parisiens Closes Pre-season Series With A Draw

JAKARTA - Paris Saint-Germain only drew 2-2 against Sevilla in a pre-season friendly at the Do Algarve Stadium, Almancil, Portugal, Tuesday local time.

Five minutes before halftime PSG fell 1-0 behind Sevilla after Ivan Rakitic converted a penalty for a foul by goalkeeper Keylor Navas inside the area.

PSG immediately equalized early in the second half through Mauro Icardi's goal which completed the perfect combination with Arnaud Kalimuendo who had just entered the field after halftime.

Le Parisiens came close to turning things around through Julian Draxler but Sevilla restored their lead when Oscar Rodriguez finished off Lucas Ocampos' cross in the 62nd minute.

In the last 30 minutes Mauricio Pochettino made six substitutions and PSG were finally able to pick a draw after Kenny Nagera grabbed the ball throwing up the result of an imperfect save from goalkeeper Bono, according to the PSG official website.

This is PSG's last pre-season which previously recorded three wins and one draw.

PSG will then travel to Tel Aviv, Israel, to open the 2021/22 French football competition by playing the Trophee des Champions match.

PSG, who won the French Cup last season, will face Ligue 1 champions Lille in a match scheduled to take place at Bloomfield Stadium on Monday next week.

On the other hand, for Sevilla, this is their third pre-season game and Julen Lopetegui's team still have one more game to play against Aston Villa at Villa Park, Birmingham, England, on Saturday, August 7 next week, before playing their opener for the 2021/22 Spanish League season against the team. Rayo Vallecano promotion a week ago.
