JAKARTA - Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali again advised all Indonesian contingents who are struggling at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics to stay focused and concentrate on competing without thinking about other things. Menpora also hopes that the Indonesian national team can play in the Olympics at least in the 2032 Olympics.

"Athletes must be able to focus, fully concentrate and compete optimally. Because the struggle to get to the Tokyo Olympics is not easy," said Menpora Amali during a live Instagram with Raffi Ahmad from the Kemenpora Office, Senayan, Jakarta yesterday.

The Minister of Youth and Sports said that the athletes who were able to participate in the Tokyo Olympics had a very difficult and extraordinary struggle.

"There was one athlete when President Joko Widodo released me, I asked about his preparation, he said he had not returned home for 4 years because of his desire to be able to appear at the Tokyo Olympics," said Menpora Amali.

"Their enthusiasm is extraordinary, because in the grand design of our national sport the Olympics is our main goal. Therefore, an athlete being able to appear in the Olympics is the peak of his highest achievement, so don't let it go to waste," added Menpora Amali.

Raffi Ahmad, who is also the holder of the Cilegon United FC football club, was also amazed that the Ministry of Youth and Sports has printed the National Sports Grand Design to ensure that Indonesia can score a champion. "It is extraordinary that the Ministry of Youth and Sports has printed this National Sports Grand Design," said Raffi.

Currently, the National Sports Grand Design is just waiting for a Presidential Regulation (Perpres) which will be used as the legal umbrella. "Our target is from the Olympics to the Olympics. The 2020 Olympics which will be held in Tokyo 2021, our target is to improve our ranking from the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics," said the Minister of Youth and Sports.

"Then at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, of course, it must increase again and then Indonesia's achievement ranking must increase. That's where we design this achievement, we can't just find it," added Menpora Amali.

Menpora Amali also advised Raffi Ahmad, the competition is very tight but there is a mission in it so that from this Rans a national team can be born. "So on the one hand we are chasing the standings, but my message to Raffi and his friends who are involved in sports is to be able to create a nursery for young seeds, so that in every competition they are not confused about finding players, especially later this Rans has an academy, that's important," the message Menpora Amali.

"One day we hope that our football can play in the Olympics. Because in this Olympics there are qualifying rounds that cannot be direct. I hope that in 2032 Indonesia can send a football team and players must donate from Rans Entertainment," added the Minister of Youth and Sports.
