JAKARTA - The Italian national team has again won the tournament between European countries after half a century, after defeating England in the Euro 2020 final at Wembley, London, Sunday local time.

After a 1-1 draw in normal time and two extra time, Gianluigi Donnarumma saved Bukayo Saka's penalty to seal a 3-2 penalty shootout victory for Italy.

The victory means that Italy now has two Henri Delaunay trophies, trophies up for grabs at the Euros, after winning it for the first time in 1968.

Italy is now level with France who in 2000 won their second Euro trophy.

The two countries are still under Germany and Spain, both of whom have proven themselves three times as the best team in Europe.

Meanwhile, England, which is entering the Euro final for the first time, has had to delay the "It's Coming Home" slogan from becoming a reality.
