Next Week, Sassuolo Meets Juventus To Discuss Transfer Of Manuel Locatelli

JAKARTA - Sassuolo CEO, Giovanni Carnevali said his club will meet with Juventus next week to continue the process of negotiating the transfer of Manuel Locatelli.

The midfielder is reportedly a target for Arsenal and Juventus following his role after becoming a star for Sassuolo in Serie A and the Italian national team at Euro 2020.

Carnevali says his team will wait until Locatelli returns from the Euros before discussing his future, but they have received a number of offers for him.

"We have received offers for Locatelli, but also Domenico Berardi, Giacomo Raspadori and Jeremie Boga have also received offers," Carneali told Sky Sport on Friday.

"We will talk about Locatelli when Euro 2020 ends, we want to keep him calm until Sunday. We have received an important offer for him, talks with one (club) are going very well."

"We met with Juve and we made an appointment next week, but that's all to be evaluated.

"Today the Italian transfer market experienced great difficulties, offers came from abroad, and obviously we have players who are hungry to play for big clubs."

Sassuolo have sold Brazilian defender Marlon to Shakhtar Donetsk this summer, while Federico Di Francesco went to SPAL and Hellas Verona brought in Giangiacomo Magnani.

Carnevali says Sassuolo have raised enough funds to keep their key players for the 2021-22 season.

"This is pride and serenity, which means our club has the opportunity to think about the future which can give us assurance from an economic point of view."

"Our policy is to try not to sell too many players. We've sold Marlon, we don't need to sell one more player."
