JAKARTA - Former Italian national team striker, Mario Balotelli, has completed his transfer to Adana Demirspor, a club that has just been promoted to the Turkish Super League.

The 30-year-old previously played for Monza and left the Italian Serie B club at the end of the 2020/21 season.

"Today we have completed a transfer that will write his name in the history of our club Adana Demirspor in gold letters," the Turkish club said after confirming the former Inter Milan and Manchester City player.

"Mario Balotelli has officially signed a three-year contract with our team. 'Super Mario' will now score goals for the blue jersey."

The move of Adana Demirspor makes Balotelli add to the long list of clubs that he has played for throughout his career to 10.

Starting his career at Lumezzane before joining Inter in 2007, Balotelli scored 28 goals in 86 appearances before moving to England for City three years later.

During his time at the Etihad, Balotelli won the Premier League as well as an FA Cup trophy by contributing 30 goals in 80 games before being sold in January 2013.

Balotelli returned to Italy and crossed to AC Milan for two seasons before returning to England for Liverpool.

Balotelli was loaned back to Milan before traveling to France for OGC Nice and Marseille and returning to Italy in the Brescia and Monza uniform before now moving to Adana Demirspor.
