XXI PON Succession In Aceh And North Sumatra In 2024, John Lubis Proposes Secretary Of State

JAKARTA - The XXI National Sports Week (PON) will be held in North Sumatra (North Sumatra) and Aceh in 2024. Although it is still a long time, preparations for XXI PON have been carried out since now.

Tuesday, June 29, 2021, the XXI PON preparatory meeting was held and presented several KONI branches such as North Sumatra and Aceh. The meeting was held at the Central KONI office with the implementation of strict health protocols.

The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Central KONI, Lt. Gen. TNI (ret.) Marciano Norman, who was accompanied by Deputy I. Chairman of the Central KONI, Maj. Mamahit, Deputy Head of Organization Eman Sumusi, Deputy Head of Binpres Andrie Paranoan and Deputy Head of Media and Public Relations Tirto Prima Putra.

The Acehnese KONI who attended were led by the General Chairperson of Muzakir Manaf (Mualem), as well as the North Sumatran KONI led by the general chairman John Lubis.

"Sumatra and Aceh have the honor of carrying out the PON with a new format," Marciano said at the start of the meeting.

The Chairman of the Central KONI is grateful that North Sumatra and Aceh have prepared PON XXI even though they are busy with various competitions taking place in 2021, one of which is PON XX in Papua.

Marciano reminded that the venue that was built could be useful for coaching sports achievements after the XXI PON was held.

It is hoped that in the future, the legacy of PON XXI in the form of infrastructure and so on can be used as a center for achievement sports development.

In addition, PON is expected to increase the potential of the regional economy. The existence of PON XXI is a momentum to promote the host region.

To the meeting participants, the General Chairperson of the Central KONI reminded the entire organizing committee to communicate with each other effectively. With good communication, it will be easier to prepare accurate planning and budgeting.

Several conditions for the success of this event must be met such as good communication and coordination, adequate resource support, consistency, bureaucratic support and implementing organizations that can handle it well.

In order to finalize this, the General Chairperson of the North Sumatran KONI, John Lubis, proposed a joint secretariat (Sekber).

"Our intention is to form a joint secretariat between the Central KONI, the Aceh KONI and the North Sumatran KONI. This small team will design all of this," said John Lubis.
