JAKARTA - Chelsea duo Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell were forced to self-isolate after coming into contact with Scotland's Billy Gilmour, who tested positive for COVID-19.

England's 26-man squad have all tested negative for COVID-19 after news broke of Gilmour's positive test on Monday.

But Mount and Chilwell are likely to miss England's Euro 2020 Group D clash against the Czech Republic at Wembley on Tuesday as they make contact with Gilmour.

Mount and Gilmour were fellow Chelsea players who played for their respective countries in Friday's 0-0 draw, while their club mate Chilwell was an unused England substitute.

The English Football Association (FA) are in discussions with health authorities about whether the two players will be available when they face the Czechs.

Gilmour missed Scotland's match against Croatia in Glasgow on Tuesday.

Mount was supposed to appear in a pre-match press conference with England coach Gareth Southgate but the Chelsea midfielder was pulled out of an interview with the media.

"As a precautionary measure at this time and in consultation with Public Health England (PHE), Ben Chilwell and Mason Mount are self-isolating after interacting with Scotland's Billy Gilmour during Friday's game," the FA said in a statement.

"The pair will be kept away from the rest of England players and the wider support team, pending further discussions with PHE."

"The whole team underwent tests on Monday afternoon and they all came back negative, as was the case for Sunday's UEFA pre-match PCR test."

"We will continue to follow all Covid-19 protocols and UEFA testing rules, while remaining in close contact with PHE."

England must beat the Czech Republic to finish top of Group D in their final game.
