Veda Ega Hopes Everything Goes Smoothly in the French Moto3 2026

JAKARTA - Veda Ega Pratama hopes that everything goes smoothly in the 2026 French Moto3 race this weekend so that he can maintain his beautiful momentum so far at the start of the season with his status as a debutant.

The young Indonesian racer is scheduled to start the 2026 French Moto3 series at the Bugatti Circuit, Le Mans, on Friday, May 8, 2026. This is the fifth race in the 2026 competition calendar.

Veda said that he had a target to appear calm and competitive from the start of the race so that he could add to his points on the provisional standings.

"If we do everything right, I believe we can fight again for strong results and continue to grow step by step," he said in a statement received.

In the previous four races, Veda Ega's performance was quite good, including in the latest series which took place at the Jerez Circuit, Spain. At that time he was the sixth rider to cross the finish line even though he started the race from position 17.

Veda said that the result in Jerez was a very important capital to face the French series because it marked his revival after failing to get points in the United States Moto3 due to an accident.

"The results at Jerez gave me confidence, but at the same time I know that every weekend is different. We need to reset and work again from scratch," said the rider from Wonosari, Gunung Kidul.

Veda is a debutant this season and has only tried Le Mans twice in his career. However, he has the chance to conquer the 4.19-kilometer track if he looks at his performance so far.

Currently, Veda is in sixth place in the standings with 37 points, 53 points behind Maximo Quiles in first place. The best result for the 17-year-old rider was third place in the Moto3 Brazil.
