JAKARTA - Men's singles badminton player Alwi Farhan refused to reveal the target he wanted to achieve in the 2026 All England badminton event which will take place in the first week of next month.
The world's oldest badminton tournament will be held at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham, England, on March 3-8, 2026. Alwi is one of two Indonesian men's singles who will compete there with Jonatan Christie.

"Of course, it's nice to have the opportunity to play at All England. Hopefully, I can bring out everything that has been prepared. The last two or three weeks of preparation were quite heavy and can be a resource for the upcoming match," said Alwi.
The badminton player who won the 2023 junior world champion title came as a debutant at the 2026 All England. He is one of the 11 debutants who will play in the BWF Super 1000 tournament.
Alwi said that he still had confidence in facing the event, but knew how to put his mentality in the middle position. He admitted that he did not want to feel inferior and not superior.
"Confidence must be, but also be able to put my position, not too high and not too low. So, who do you want to fight, come on! I feel young, I don't need to be afraid if the results are bad, but I need to pursue everything," said Alwi.
Indonesia has a total of 14 representatives who will play there, including Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja. The mixed doubles specialist plays with her partner from Singapore, namely Hee Yong Kai Terry.
