JAKARTA - A proud achievement was made by a young archery athlete from DKI Jakarta. Muhammad Sakhi Athaillah, a junior archer who is still young, performed brilliantly by winning five gold medals in the 2025 National Archery Inter-Club Championship (Kejurnas).

"This competition is certainly very important for me to hone my ability and mental to compete," said Sakhi in a written statement in Jakarta, Sunday.

Sakhi, who is part of the DAD Archery Club, appeared in the championship held at the Supper Soccer Arena Kudus, Central Java, on December 9-19, 2025. In the event, he managed to collect a total of five gold medals and one silver medal.

The 13-year-old athlete won the gold medal in the Recurve Men U15 40 meter category through the Qualification Session 1 with a score of 353 and Qualification Session 2 with a score of 342, so that the total qualification value reached 695. In addition, Sakhi also won gold in the Individual Elimination and Men's Team Elimination. Meanwhile, he won one silver medal from the Mixed Team Elimination.

He also appreciated the solid teamwork in the doubles, which he said was the key to success.

"For the Mix Team, I paired up with Sossa Amourra Ariyanto. Meanwhile, in the Man Team number, I fought with my colleagues Muhammad Fatih Al Banna and Raqilla Irsyam Rosyadi," he said.

Sakhi said that the achievement was inseparable from the thorough preparation, both in terms of technique and physical condition, which was carried out consistently before the championship.

"Hopefully in the future I can join the DKI Jakarta Team and become a champion in archery competitions, both at the national and international levels," he hoped.

Meanwhile, the manager and coach of DAD Archery Club, Devi Syah Putra, admitted that he was proud of Sakhi's achievements and his athletes who competed in the national event.

"In total, we managed to win 14 gold medals, 11 silver medals, and 13 bronze medals. Our gold achievement is the same as the Overall Champion, only the difference is in silver," he said.

In the Kejurnas, DAD Archery Club sent down 38 male athletes and 32 female athletes accompanied by four team officials.

Devi also reminded all athletes not to be complacent about their achievements, and to remain enthusiastic for those who have not yet managed to get on the podium.

"Everyone must continue to train hard because no achievement is achieved instantly, it takes perseverance and hard work," he said.
