The reason is that the fighter Safira Dwi Meilani won a gold medal at the 2025 SEA Games. Safira Dwi Meilani is a pencak silat athlete who was born in Kudus, Central Java on May 18, 2000. The girl, who is also called Safira, admitted that she was fond of pencak silat since she was young. Before pencak silat, Safira had tried badminton, but eventually switched to a silat in SMP class 7.

His interest in the world of silat has made Safira rise in rank as an athlete. He then joined as a Javanese fighter and competed in the XIV National Student Sports Week (Popnas) in 2017. Not kidding, Safira managed to bring home the silver medal for the D 51-55 kg women's class.

From the original province, Safira finally appeared at the national level. One of the moments of the competition was to be a participant in the 2018 National Championship for Student Education and Training (PPLP) held in Manado. In that competition, Safira again smiled widely because he managed to bring home the gold medal for Central Java.

Not stopping there, Safira continued to reap achievements in the following years. For example, in 2019 he won a gold medal at the XIV Pomnas Jakarta. Meanwhile, in 2022 he again won a gold medal at the 8th SEA Pencak Silat Championship held in Malaysia.

Safira also received praise from the public after she represented Indonesia at the 2023 SEA Games which was held in Cambodia. At that event, Safira was declared to have failed to bring home the gold medal for reasons that could not be understood.

Even though at that time Safira was ahead in points and had not committed any offense. It's just that Safira was sentenced to a foul that made the referee think that Safira couldn't continue the match because it was indicated that he was in pain.

On the other hand, the coach of the Indonesian pencak silat national team at that time, Indro Catur Haryono, regretted the referee's decision. After a debate with the jury and the committee, Safira was finally declared the winner and took home the gold medal at the 2023 SEA Games.

On the occasion of the 2025 SEA Games, Safira Dewi Meilani again managed to be the best in the women's B class (50-55 kilograms). He managed to beat the athlete representing Vietnam, Duong Thi Hai Quyen, on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
