Sesko Apes, Endangered By Absen Strengthening Man Utd Due To Food Toxics

JAKARTA - Striker Benjamin Sesko should have been able to play again when Manchester United host Bournemouth in the English Premier League match at Old Trafford Stadium, Tuesday, December 16, 2025 in the morning WIB. Sesko may not be able to appear because of food poisoning.

Sesko has actually recovered from a knee injury. The injury forced Sesko out since November 25 when Man Utd was forced to give up 1-0 in the match against Everton.

After the match, Man Utd actually showed a revival by defeating Crystal Palace 2-1 and Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-1. However, Man Utd again reaped unsatisfactory results while playing at home after being detained by West Ham United 1-1.

When returning to acting as host and Man Utd hopes to break a bad record at Old Trafford, Sesko has the opportunity to appear. He is fit to face Bournemouth.

However, the hopes of this Slovenian national team striker have not been conveyed. Sesko was forced to postpone his desire to return to play if he had not recovered due to food poisoning.

"He's food poisoning. But we still see his condition. We still have two days to prepare while waiting for his condition," said manager Ruben Amorim as quoted by Sport Mole.

If not fully fit, Sesko will definitely wait even longer to return to play. He may have been able to appear against Aston Villa on December 21, 2025. And then in the Boxing Day match against Newcastle United.

Without Sesko, the Red Devils front line can rely on striker Joshua Zirkzee. In addition, there is still Matheus Cunha who can become a center forward.

Not only Sesko, the duo of main defender Matthijs de Ligt and Harry Maguire still cannot be played against Bournemouth. Maguire is still struggling with a thigh injury that has not yet recovered. If it is still absent, this means Maguire has not played for five games Man Utd.

"Maguire is absent. Likewise De Ligt out. It looks like he [De Ligt] has a problem on his back. He can indeed finish the match against Palace. But he feels pain. So we have to be careful," said Amorim.

Man Utd is still reinforced by players who will defend the national team in the Africa Cup of Nations. Players such as Bryan Mbeumo (Kamerun), Amad Diallo (Patai Gading) and Noussair Mazraoui (Maroko) appeared before returning home to play in the Africa Cup of Nations.
