Chairman of the Indonesia Pingpong League (IPL), Petrus Reinhard Golose, said that Indonesia is aiming for five medals in this biennial event, with the only gold targeted by mixed doubles numbers.
"We are targeting one gold medal from the mixed doubles number, but there is also potential from the men's doubles number. I am sure Indonesia can rise in Southeast Asia," said Petrus.
Indonesia last won a gold medal from table tennis at the 2005 SEA Games which took place in Manila, Philippines. Muhammad Hussein contributed the only gold at that time in the men's singles number.

Petrus said that tennis athletes for the 2025 SEA Games were the result of a rigorous selection and had undergone various long preparations for the stage on the biennial sports stage.

IPL dispatched 10 athletes, consisting of five sons and five daughters to the White Elephant Country. They will compete in the men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles.
