Borneo FC Becomes The Next Persib Opponent, Bojan Hodak Is Actually Worried About Persija

Persib is more aware of Persija in competition at the top of the Super League 2025/2026 (doc. Persib).

JAKARTA - Persib Bandung coach, Bojan Hodak, is aware that Borneo FC will be the next opponent the team must face. However, ahead of the match, he was worried that Persija would be in the top competition for the 2025/2026 Super League.

Currently Persib is in third place with 25 points from 11 matches. The collection of points is only eight points adrift of Borneo at the top of the standings. Meanwhile, Persija is in second place with 29 points.

With that number of points, Persib could have overtaken Persija and approached Borneo. The condition is that Bojan Hodak's troops must defeat the Pesut Etam squad.

The two teams will meet in a postponed match which will take place on December 5, 2025. In addition, Persib also has one other postponed match against North Maluku United on December 14, 2025.

Ahead of the nearest match, Bojan realized that Borneo FC was not an arbitrary team. He also commented on the last match of potential opponents which he considered would not reduce the quality of Pesut Etam's troops.

"They (Borneo FC) still have a good record. They are a good team. This will be a fierce match. I have to see who the players in our squad are ready after this match (against Madura United)," said Hodak about the opponent against Borneo FC in a press conference after Persib beat Madura United, quoted Monday, December 2, 2025.

Still on the same occasion, Bojan Hodak also commented on the top competition. The Croatian coach actually paid attention to the Kemayoran Tigers.

"Overall, I am more worried about Persija because of other things," said Hodak.

Persib and Persija have not met this season. The first duel between the two teams will take place on January 11, 2026 with Thom Haye and his friends holding the status of the host.
