Arsenal Lost Defender Gabriel At North London Derby Against Tottenham Hotspur

JAKARTA - Arsenal immediately met tough opponents who were none other than neighbors, Tottenham Hotspur, in the English Premier League. The back sector became Arsenal's problem following a thigh injury suffered by defender Gabriel Magalhaes while strengthening Brazil in a test match.

Brazil face Senegal in a trial match that was held at home to Gabriel's club, Emirates Stadium, North London. Only he could not play full because Gabriel was then withdrawn in the 65th minute due to his injury.

As a result of his injury, the 27-year-old defender was not played by coach Carlo Ancelotti in the next trial when Brazil faced Tunisia which ended in a 1-1 draw in Lille, Wednesday, November 19, 2025 in the morning WIB.

Gabriel's injury was not serious. However, he is likely to be sidelined for four weeks. If not fully fit, it could be that Gabriel will only be able to return to play in January 2026.
