JAKARTA - The Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) will meet with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on October 28, 2025, which is the aftermath of the rejection of Israeli athletes.

Chairman of KOI/NOC Indonesia Raja Sapta Oktohari confirmed the date of the meeting in an official statement received by the media on Saturday, October 25.

"Since long ago, NOC Indonesia has indeed asked for time to meet the IOC, then the IOC gave it time to meet on October 28, 2025," he said.

The IOC previously issued four decisions related to Indonesia which were the aftermath of the cancellation of the visas of Israeli athletes for the 2025 Artistic Gymnastics World Championship which took place in Jakarta.

The first point in the decision is that the IOC declares ending all forms of dialogue with NOC Indonesia regarding the holding of the Olympics, Youth Olympics, Olympic events, or conferences in the future until the Indonesian government provides adequate guarantees to the IOC regarding entry access regardless of citizenship.

They also recommend all international sports mothers not to hold any sporting events in Indonesia until the Indonesian government provides guarantees regarding the provision of access to all athletes.

The third point of the IOC's decision contains the question of a parent international sport or international federation including guarantees of access to various countries for all athletes in the implementation of Olympic qualifications.

The fourth point is directly related to Indonesia, namely asking NOC INDONESIA and the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) to come to the IOC headquarters in Lausanne to discuss the situation that occurred ahead of the 53rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championship.

Okto said that until now the IOC had not contacted him personally, so he decided to arrange the meeting at the IOC headquarters in Laussane, Switzerland.

"Many things will be discussed with the IOC. At the same time discussing the latest IOC decision. We understand there must be consequences for the latest incident, but we want to explain directly so that the information received by the IOC can be more comprehensive," said Okto.

The latest IOC decision makes Indonesia's desire to participate in the offer to host the Youth Olympics, Olympics, or other important events to be smaller.
