England Vs Wales: Tuchel Rotation In Battle Of Britain

JAKARTA - England appeared with a different team although they still left captain Harry Kane who reunited with Bukayo Saka against Wales in a test match. Manager Thomas Tuchel rotated the players in the Battle of Britain at Wembley Stadium, Friday, October 10, 2025 in the morning WIB.

The rotation of players has become Tuchel's choice by not calling on pillar players like Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden. Not only that, midfielders Jack Grealish and Adam Wharton were also not included in the squad.

In addition, Tuchel lost a number of players who were still grappling with injuries, including Noni Madueke, Reece James and Tino Livramento. Finally, Cole Palmer, who is always successful every time he defends England and Real Madrid defender Trent Alexander-Arnold, is also not in the squad because he has not recovered from injury.

Tuchel also made changes at the back by giving Djed Spence the opportunity with Ezra Konsa, Dan Burn and Myles Lewis-Skelly even though they haven't become regular players at Arsenal. Veteran defender John Stones, who just joined in the last moments, will start the match by sitting on the bench.

Changes will also occur in the central sector because there are no Bellingham, Palmer to Grealish. This makes midfielder Declan Rice act as an inspiration for England's game with Elliot Anderson and Morgan Rogers. Veteran midfielder Jordan Henderson will start the match on the bench.

The match against Wales was Battle of Britain which brought together two teams from England. They last met in the 2022 World Cup preliminary match. At that time, England beat The Dragons 3-0.
