Morbidelli: Mandalika Circuit Is Like A Holiday Place

JAKARTA The Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team racer, Franco Morbidelli, said that the Mandalika Circuit is like a vacation spot and is not a motorcycle racing arena because of the natural beauty of the place.

The 2025 Indonesian MotoGP race at the Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), is scheduled to take place on 3-5 October 2025. This is the 18th series in the 2025 season racing calendar.

Morbidelli said that the race in Mandalika gave a different impression because the landscape of natural beauty in this place made it seem as if he was just melting.

"It's good to be able to race in Indonesia, especially because it's a beautiful place. This circuit is located on a magical island and it doesn't look like a racing place, it looks more like a vacation spot, sand, beautiful beaches, and everything," he said.

The same thing was also conveyed by Fabio Di Giannantonio, who is a teammate of Morbidelli at Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team.

Giannantonio said that apart from the natural beauty and very stunning circuit layout, the race at Mandalika also made him feel like racing at home, just like in Misano, Italy.

"You feel a really magical weekend and it's great fun to live here. The energy around, as I said, from nature (around the circuit), is amazing," he said.

Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Di Giannantonio will wear a new pattern (livery) on their motorbikes in the Mandalika race later.

The new character of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 team comes with maintaining the yellow color of the stabilizer or yellow fluo as the hallmark of the team and combined with red and white as the identity of the Indonesian bandera.

The red and white colors are designed with batik accents from the typical Mandalika Circuit strip. This new benchmark is expected to bring good luck to the Italian-based team this weekend.
